Scalable real-time chat platform built with TypeScript, ShadCN UI and Socket.io. Uses Redis Pub/Sub for distributed event handling and online presence tracking, supports typing indicators and encrypted one-to-one messaging. Secured with JWT, RBAC and rate limiting; containerized with Docker.

I participated in Google Summer of Code 2025 as an open-source contributor, implementing real features merged into upstream. In parallel, I completed Hacktoberfest 2025 with 4 quality PRs merged across the JavaScript and TypeScript ecosystem. My focus is on type-safety, performance, and maintainability — whether navigating large codebases, triaging issues, or improving developer tooling.

Accepted into Google Summer of Code
Selected as a contributor for GSoC 2025. Began community bonding with the open-source org, studying the codebase and aligning on project goals.
Coding Period Begins
Started implementing the proposed features. Pushed first significant commits and opened initial PRs for mentor review.
Midterm Evaluation — Passed
Successfully passed the midterm evaluation. Core feature set merged; pivoted to performance improvements and documentation.
Final Submission
Delivered the final work product. All target PRs merged, written up the work report, and received a successful final evaluation.
Hacktoberfest 2025 Kicks Off
Registered for Hacktoberfest 2025. Started hunting quality issues across JavaScript and TypeScript repos to contribute to.

First two quality pull requests merged — fixed a type-safety bug and improved documentation in a popular OSS library.
